Someone phoned me saying they were from a legal firm. She wanted my birthday and postcode to “check” my details, but I told her straight I didn’t know who they were or what they wanted. She mentioned they had sent a letter last week and that the call was about that letter. I told her I’d ring back once I got the letter. 03331214454 rang from a solicitor firm claiming I owe money on a debt they purchased, and they sent me statements saying I made payments by cheque. Thing is, I've never had a credit card with them, and I've never even had a cheque book in my life. Plus, about 7 years ago I had a debt relief order done through a debt company that checks all your debts - this one wasn’t included at all. It doesn’t even show up on my credit file. Its a debt collector from a credit card firm. Theyre legit but honestly so annoying. They wont leave you alone about payments even if youve lost your job. They phone at all hours, like 8 in the morning on a Saturday, which is just rude.

Said they were Mortimer Clark Solicitors, from 03331214454. When I called, the answerphone said not to leave a message, then a robotic voice said to press 1 if I wanted to talk. Seems dodgy, I reckon it’s a scam.

I dont own any credit cards or owe any money, so no clue why they keep calling me. Ive blocked the number, it must be some kinda mix-up. Would be great if folks double checked their numbers before harassing others, honestly.

This call was from Mortimer Clarke Solicitors - I had some debt with a credit card company and they were the ones handling it. Definitely not a scam, just a legit firm chasing money I owed.

Got a call from 03331214454, the bloke was asking for a Mrs Helen Brotherick. I told him there’s no one by that name here, he said sorry and then ended the call. Noticed there was a bit of a pause after I picked up before he said anything.

Got a call from this number claiming to be Mortimer Clark solicitors, asking for my son who doesn’t even live here anymore. I called him straight away and he phoned Mortimer Clark themselves - they said they had no files on him or any calls made to me. This happened in the Bristol region.
