Looks like a total ripoff to me.

So, I got an O2 SIM sent to me yesterday, and today out of nowhere I get a call claiming to be from O2, offering some kind of “free” upgrade deal for a SIM plan I never even asked about. At first, the bloke sounded nice enough, but as soon as I started asking questions, he turned really rude. Kept saying I was just wasting his time, which I found odd considering I never requested a call from O2 in the first place. I was convinced it was a scam, but then he dropped some details only the real O2 would know, like when I switched from Pay Monthly to PAYG. Leaves me a bit puzzled now. Luckily I didn’t give out any personal info or text him the code he asked for. If that call actually was from O2, I’m pretty shocked by how badly that guy handled customer service.
