I placed an order for an O2 SIM card just yesterday, and to my surprise, I got an unexpected phone call today from someone claiming to be with O2. He said he was offering me an "exclusive" upgrade to a SIM plan that I hadn’t even enquired about. Initially, he was quite affable, but once I started to ask some questions, his tone shifted dramatically. He got quite aggressive, suggesting I was wasting his precious time by questioning him, even though I hadn't initiated the call! It left me feeling suspicious, thinking it might be some sort of scam. Yet, he possessed quite a bit of information regarding my SIM order and even details about my previous switch from Pay Monthly to Pay As You Go. It certainly raises some eyebrows. I'm relieved I didn’t disclose any personal details or follow through on his peculiar request to text him a code. If this was indeed O2 reaching out, I’m appalled by the rudeness displayed in what should be a customer-focused call.
