They called asking for the director, but I just told them to buzz off - total spam!

Got a call from a broadband company asking for me by name, which I reckon breaks the rules under GDPR and the Telephone Preference Service. Not happy about that at all.

So this woman called Maxine left a voicemail for our company’s director saying she’d been spoken to rudely by one of our staff, and also asked if we were aware that there’s a pandemic going on. Well, just to clear things up, I’m actually the director’s wife! I definitely wasn’t rude; I told her I couldn’t chat at that moment because I was alone and needed to call back later. And yes, we’ve been open through the entire pandemic - I haven’t taken a day off since March 2020 and I’m working crazy hours, just like many other businesses trying to survive this mess. In three decades working here, we’ve never had a complaint before, so this is a first! Maxine, please give me a ring back.
