A woman named Maxine has left a message for our company’s director, claiming that one of our staff was rather uncouth to her, and she wonders if we're aware of the current pandemic situation. Firstly, I must clarify that I happen to be the director's spouse! Secondly, I maintain that I wasn’t impolite; I simply mentioned I couldn't take her call at that moment because I was alone and absolutely required to attend to her call later on, as I was pressed for time. Moreover, I can assure you, we’ve been diligently working throughout this pandemic without a single day off since March 2020. I’ve been putting in an extraordinary number of hours, much like many other businesses striving to navigate these challenging times! In my thirty years at this establishment, I’ve never encountered a complaint such as this; this is genuinely unprecedented! Maxine, I would appreciate it if you could give me a ring now.
