I decided to ring them back to inform them of their mistake regarding the number. They inquired about my name and date of birth, insisting they were representing Santander. However, when they proceeded to ask for my bank account details and the balance, I clarified that I don’t actually hold an account there, which is why I was reaching out in the first place. To my surprise, they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite shocking and rather unprofessional behaviour, if you ask me.
