Just had a crazy £3480 charge from Santander and B&Q show up. Tried ringing back on 03330129286 but honestly, how come these calls can't be blocked or traced properly? They really should sort it out, it's mad.

Got a message saying I needed to ring 03330129308 to confirm a Next Online order for £1120.00. Luckily, I didn’t fall for it this time, but I had a nearly identical text about a month and a half ago. Watch out, it’s dodgy!

Like lots of other folks, I reckon its about time the phone companies stepped up and actually did something to stop this stuff!!! I've had a couple of dodgy texts over the past few days, one even took £3.75 from me just for a message I never signed up for - how on earth is that allowed to go on!!!!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HSBC, saying £1800 was taken from my PayPal and tried to get me to change my secure key. My husband called them back and let them have it, and guess what? They just hung up and blocked our number! Absolute rubbish! If any of these scammers see this, seriously, find proper work and stop messing about. You’re gonna get caught eventually... karma’s a right pain!

Bloody scammers everywhere - it makes no sense that the police crack down on people for going just a tiny bit over the speed limit but seem to turn a blind eye to these crooks. Why aren’t they doing something about this kind of fraud? It’s really frustrating.

Just got an identical message about B&Q, and the amount was the same too. At first, I rang back because I’ve had some card fraud just lately. Thankfully, I caught myself before saying too much - Santander would ring straightaway if it was legit. So, I went ahead and blocked the number.

Received a message saying I’d spent £3480 at B&Q with Santander - but I don’t even bank with them! They wanted my sort code and account details, which I definitely didn’t give. Ended the call straight away!!!

Honestly, this site has been a lifesaver. I received this identical text about some sum for B&Q, and guess what - I don’t even have an account with Santander! That’s what made me suspicious in the first place. Also, who seriously has that much money just sitting in their bank mid-month? Definitely don’t bother calling the number they sent. Now I’m really curious (and a bit creeped out) how these lot even got my phone number. Feels really invasive, to be honest.

I got a call from a number that on the caller ID said it was B&Q. They claimed I owed them £3480, which is completely untrue. I have no idea why they would say that or even call me in the first place. Felt like a total scam to me. Be careful if you get a similar call!
