I just received a text claiming there was an attempt to purchase something at B&Q and asking me to ring Santander straight away. Since I don't have an account with them, I just binned it. The number they called from was 0333 0129214.

I got a call claiming to be Santander, checking on a £2000 Ikea purchase. When I asked more, they confirmed they were Santander, but I’m not even a customer. As soon as I mentioned that, they just cut the call. Definitely a scam number, stay clear!

Received a text mentioning a £2,476 transaction at Ikea, supposedly from Santander, telling me to ring them straight away if I hadn’t made the purchase. When I called to check and explained I don’t even have a Santander card, the call dropped suddenly. Definitely sounded fishy - could be a scammer pretending to be Santander.
