I got a call from someone claiming to be Barclays, saying there was a suspicious transaction on my account and they needed to verify some info. Honestly, don’t share any of your details with them - it’s a scam for sure!

I got a call from this number, thought it was Lufthansa at first. They mentioned a price of 972 euros, but when I checked the flights online, they were closer to 1600. No clue what that was about. The person said their name was Aomar and sounded like they were in some call centre.

Got a call from a withheld number warning about a supposed big payment made to a firm called TFG, said the payment was being held. They told me to ring their fraud dept on 03330067726 to fix it. When I asked if it was from an HSBC account, they said yes. I told them we don't bank with HSBC, so this isn't us at all. Then they just cut the call.

Just got a text from HSBC saying my OTP is 832947 for a payment of £807.53 to Expedia. Totally didn’t make this payment! If anyone else got this or it’s a scam, maybe ring them on 0333 006 7726 to check. Be careful, folks!

I was advised by my MP to share info about a police-run platform that makes it easy for anyone to report scam calls, texts, emails, and other fraud stuff. They’ve set it up so it’s really straightforward for the public to flag all these dodgy attempts. It seems like scammers don’t want this info out there at all. Honestly, if people don’t report these scams, nothing will change and the scammers will just keep going.
