This was honestly a bit spooky - got a call from 0331 630 4258 that turned out to be one of those AI bots with a super realistic voice. First time I’ve come across a spam call like this, and it was on 27th November 2023. The caller, who said she was "Sarah Wilson" from the "Housing Disrepair Team," was really polite and kept asking about "issues with my house." Thing is, she never mentioned which council or what address the call was about. When I asked if I was talking to a machine or a real person, the call just dropped. Proper weird experience!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone named 'Sarah', though she sounded more like a bot than an actual person! She asserted that she was representing the Housing Repair Team, but when I pressed her to explain how she had gotten hold of my number, she completely dodged the question. Apparently, her team was supposed to assist tenants of social housing with issues related to dampness. However, when I declined to divulge any personal details or comment on my housing status and repeated my inquiry about how she obtained my number, she suddenly announced she was terminating the call and hung up without addressing any of my concerns. Quite the dodgy interaction, if you ask me!

I rang the number back and it was one of those scam calls. They pretended they were calling to sort out issues with your council or housing association flat. The person speaking, and others I could hear in the background, definitely had an accent from somewhere like India or Pakistan.
