I kept getting quizzes sent to my phone from this number, so I just assumed it was junk and didn’t bother with it. But then my bill shot up from £36 to £80 - total ripoff. Looks like I’ve been caught out by a scam. Now I’m heading to O2 to try and get them to block it. If you’re getting messages from this number, I’d recommend you do the same. Seriously, how do we stop these scam artists?

I’m right there with you, can’t figure out how much it costs to block them though. Gonna call O2 and see about that free barring app. Honestly, sick to death of these absolute muppets ringing me all the time!

Somebody's gone and opened an account with my O2 using 03308280764 and they're taking £4.50 a week! I never agreed to any of this, really annoying stuff. Absolute idiots!

Some numpty has gone and opened an account on my 02 without me knowing, pulling £4.50 each week out of my money. I never agreed to any of this. What a load of rubbish!

Got a message saying I'm signed up for £4.50 a month and to either ring that number or text stop. Already tried texting stop before but it didn’t do anything.

Got a text earlier today:

"Quibble trivia services. win prizes for £4.50 per week until you send STOP to 66299. Help? 03308280764"

I've had these quiz texts for quite some time and just never bothered replying. Today’s message made sense why my pay as you go credit’s been disappearing. I think it may have begun with one of those ITV game show entries.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Marks and Spencer, but it was definitely one of those dodgy Facebook scams. Watch out, it’s all a sham!
