Here’s how you can easily report all scam calls, texts, emails, and other fraud attempts through the system set up by the police (NFIB). I was advised to share this after raising concerns with my MP about the amount of scam calls I kept getting. It’s clear scammers would rather keep this info under wraps. If you don’t report these scams, don’t expect them to be dealt with. Reporting to 7726, your network provider, Ofcom, or the businesses being impersonated can help a bit, but often the info won’t actually reach the police or fraud investigation teams for action.

Someone rang me claiming to be from consumer plus, saying they wanted to check details about my broadband bill and asked for my full name for data protection purposes. I said 'I don't want to' but they thought I said 'I don't understand' and then started moaning about me not knowing about data protection laws, telling me to look it up online. I just said cheers and ended the call. Weird experience!

Glad I didn’t pick up, honestly. I never pick up calls from weird numbers, especially if it’s around 7 in the evening. Whenever I get missed calls like that, I always search the number online to know what it could be later. Thank goodness for Google, seriously.
