I've gotten multiple calls from this number lately. One time, it just showed 'Incoming call' without any digits, which is a bit dodgy. Normally, I ignore calls from numbers I don't know, especially this one. But today, since I was waiting on an important call back, I answered. Right away, a strange accent started speaking, so I hung up straight away. They seem to ring at odd times - like 9:45 in the morning, then again around 5 or 6 in the evening. I don't bother chatting with them at all.

Got two calls today, one was pretty early and I hurried to pick up thinking it might be urgent. I reckon I might have answered before when they said they were from Good Energy, which is my provider. Glad to see others saying it’s a scam because now I’m definitely going to block that number.

Just like a few others have said, the person on the phone introduced himself as Mohammed and said he was ringing from Good Energy. I cut him off and said if he was truly from SMS (the firm that put the smart meters in for Good Energy), he’d know we had ours fitted last year - and they never work right around here. I told him not to bother with more calls. They’ve tried a few times before, but this was the first time I picked up to set things straight. If they call again, I’m definitely blocking the number.

Well, it was pretty clear this was a scam claiming to be from my energy supplier, Good Energy. I actually use Good Energy and don't deal with other firms, so these folks saying they were 'on behalf of' Plus seemed dodgy right away. Later on, they confessed they weren’t from Good Energy at all, but insisted I must get the smart meter because apparently, they notify insurance companies about anyone who refuses. This number is genuine, not some sort of scam. It's from a firm that fits smart meters for a few different gas and electricity providers. If you’re unsure, it’s best to ring your energy supplier to check. When I got an unexpected call and text from them, I was a bit wary, but it turns out they’re legit. If you’re interested in getting a smart meter fitted, often for free, you should give them a ring back.
