Got a call on my phone with them asking for me by name, when I asked who it was they said UK Finance. I told them I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing so I just ended the call. Definitely scammers trying to get your info and cash…. DON’T SHARE ANYTHING with them to stay safe.

I’ve just had a peculiar call from this number. Though I didn't chat with anyone, I could faintly catch a voice at the beginning saying something along the lines of “he’s in,” before it went quiet. Peering out of the window, I spotted a silver Mercedes - the compact model, mind you - with what I think were the last three letters JFX. The driver revved the engine and sped off in a hurry. I suspect they may have been assessing my house or taking note of my car, as the other vehicle usually sits on the driveway. This occurred in Liverpool. When I attempted to call the number back, I was met with an automated voice saying it was from a "motor aftercare helpline." There was only one option available: to opt out of further calls.

They pretended to be from FSCS, but they're definitely not. When I said I worked for FSCS, the woman turned quite nasty and just ended the call! Watch out, they're rude and dishonest.

Proper clever con artist from Liverpool, said he was with LV, my insurance lot, dealing with a crash from last year that’s all sorted now. Said I could get a "Category C" pay-out from the other party for injury and all that. At first, I believed him since he knew a lot, but I was suspicious. When I asked why he didn’t have my email, which is definitely on my LV account, he just ended the call. Found this site and blocked the number now.

What a right dodgy scheme! I had a fella from Liverpool contacting me, saying he was with LV, my insurance provider that sorted out an accident for me last year. He claimed that I was eligible for a "Category C" payout for personal injury from the other party involved. At first, I bit, as he seemed to have all the gory details. But I couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something was off. As soon as I questioned him about how he didn't have my email-which is definitely on my LV records-he abruptly ended the call. He’s now firmly blocked!

I received a rather dubious call purportedly from my insurance provider, claiming that another insurer was keen to resolve a financial claim related to an accident I had last year. I promptly informed them that I had already settled my car repairs without any injuries, thus I had no need for any payout. The caller insisted that I must have been quite shocked and needed medication, to which I firmly replied that this was nonsense and that false claims would merely inflate our premiums. When I inquired about the compensation I supposedly was entitled to, they mentioned a sum of £1800. I questioned their authority in this matter, and they replied they were a solicitor. I firmly told him to buzz off-honesty is key, and I expect the same from others. This isn’t the first time I’ve been harassed since the accident; I’ve received roughly five calls now, and I tend to respond quite bluntly, urging them to take a hike. I genuinely wish everyone had the courage to do the same!

Geordie bloke called my old landline, had all my info, like where I live and the postcode. Claimed he was working for SFCS, which I think was meant to be FSCS, saying he was from the UK Financial Services Compensation scheme, asking about missold mortgages or some sort of mortgage check. I could hear the telly in the background and a baby crying. He sounded proper convincing but I didn’t trust it, so I had a look up the number.

Just got a call from someone with a Scouse accent saying they were from RTA legal. They actually used my maiden name, which is odd since I've been married for 8 years. They asked if I had any updates about my accident, I told them I don’t know what accident they meant and then they just ended the call.
