Got a call from an Asian guy asking for the business owner. Claimed he was with some telecom company and could cut my bills down. Told him to stop calling and hung up straight away. Proper fed up with these calls, especially when they ring at 7pm on a Friday night.

I rarely pick up calls from unknown areas, different regions, or ones where the number is hidden. I let my answering machine deal with most of my calls. If more people did this, most of these scam or sales calls would stop. Real people always leave a message anyway.

Spoke to a man with an Asian accent. He asked for the owner of the business and said he could cut down the monthly bill for my phone line. I said that sounds great, cheers for letting me know. Then I asked him to stop calling and to erase my info from their records - but he hung up straightaway. Bit cheeky, if you ask me. Anyway, I've blocked the number, no surprise there.

I keep getting these calls at my work from the same lot, usually Indian accents or something close, always asking for the business owner on the phone. I’ve tried being polite and even just saying I’m busy once I clock it’s them again, but nothing seems to stop it. The TPS doesn’t help at all and it’s really frustrating. I’ve asked them loads of times to take me off their list and not call back, but they just ignore it. I believed these types of calls were meant to be illegal now?

This number has been on my phone pretty much non stop for a week. Every time I pick up, it just hangs up straight away. Today I finally got hold of a guy who sounded asian and said his name was Tom! He claimed to be from some internet company but talked so fast I could hardly catch a word. Asked me for the boss of the company, but I told him this was a private line and then he just hung up. I've had these calls for years, they really need to do something about it.

Somebody rang saying they were from this firm named "Business Choices" about our phone line. They said they were gonna lower our line rental from next month but when I asked, they said that'd only happen if we joined up with their company. another bloke from pakistan trying to con me. claiming a super cheap internet offer if i give my bank details. i kept him talking by feeding him made-up and conflicting info till he got fed up and ended the call. he asked for my address so i gave him one with a fake house number, he then tried to check the postcode but came up empty, which kept him busy for a fair while. lol.
