Just noticed some weird charges on my Vodaphone bill - £3 every week plus 55p for a pic msg, all starting around March 2019. Rang their helpline and spoke to a guy called Parth, who was really helpful and sorted it out by blocking those extras. Bit relieved now!

When I rang up to check, they assured me they’d halt any charges before they even began. Whether that’s really the case, we’ll have to wait and see, but I did get another text from them confirming it. Looks like they’ve been around for ages, since 2006 or something, just under different names. Honestly, the bigger worry should be figuring out how your mobile number ends up being shared - like when you visit dodgy sites you don’t know about, such as their [#]watch-it.tv thing.

Sometimes Android apps seem to do whatever they want. For better security, I’d recommend not surfing the web directly on your phone or using your mobile SIM for browsing. Instead, just use your phone for tethering, such as through a MiFi hotspot. You can even get dedicated tethering gadgets for as low as £20. Keep your browsing and high-data-use apps limited to WiFi connections, ideally through your tethered device if you need mobile data.

For weeks, I've been getting charged 3 quid every single day, and before that, it was 3 quid three times a week. Vodafone and these lot are just robbing people blind. Vodafone doesn't take any accountability for this mess. I had to ditch my contract and switch to pay-as-you-go because of it. When I called Vodafone to refuse paying these dodgy charges, they warned me I’d lose my calls if I didn’t pay up. So basically, you pay Vodafone for your plan and then get stung by these scammers too - making Vodafone cash twice over. It’s just plain theft!

Been getting charged £3 a week since the start of September, up to £9 now, and I haven’t got a clue what it’s for. Deleted some dodgy texts from this number, 03308085233, but the charges kept coming. I’ve fallen victim to a scam too, I’m with Vodafone. This all kicked off around June and now it’s August. They’ve managed to take £39 from me. I sent a STOP message to 62442 and got a quick reply back. Couldn’t track down the first messages they sent though.

I have no clue where they found my number from. When I rang Vodafone, they mentioned it might happen if you’ve been scrolling on social media and clicked on certain stuff. Anyhow, send STOP to 662442 to stop it. Vodafone won't sort out refunds, you’ve got to get in touch with the Phone-Paid Services Authority at 0300 303 0020 to get that sorted. Hopefully this info helps someone out.

Really struggling with Vodafone here. They keep saying it’s not them taking the money but some other company. Yeah, I get that, but all I want is for the charges to stop. The number won’t accept stop texts at all! Tried popping into a Vodafone store - no help at all. I’m actually chatting to Vodafone on the phone right now. The bloke offered me £10 as a gesture, but you still have to sort the refund directly with the company yourself. What a pain!

Just like many others, I got two texts with the subject 'receipt'. I erased the first one but then my sister told me she did the same and ended up being billed for the rest of her phone billing cycle. i got a message saying my free trial was over and that it’d cost me £3 a week unless i replied with stop. figured it was dodgy and just ignored it, but then a couple weeks later i spotted an extra £6 on my phone bill! rang vodafone to check and they said it was something called watch it-v. no idea how it got put on my bill but i phoned them up and asked to be cancelled.

Got a text dated 20/05/18 saying my free trial for 'watch it on tv' service from alchimie finishes on 21/05/18 at 12:20. After that, it'll charge £3 a week unless I reply stop to 62442. Just like what others have said, I got a couple of texts about some watch-it TV thing. One had a login that didn’t work at all, and the other told me to text stop if I wanted out, but it was from a premium number which probably means they’re making cash from it. I’m ignoring them and if they end up charging me, I’m done with my phone contract entirely.

Got a strange text from FreeMsg saying thanks for trying Watch It On TV by Alchimie, but I never signed up for anything.
