I got a text claiming to be from HSBC saying there was a dodgy transaction on my account, and they’d block my card to stop any more. It said £888.22 had been spent in Liverpool, but I'm actually in Cardiff, so I knew straight away it was fishy.

Someone said they were from O2 and offered me 40% off. Then they just ended the call. I'm sure it's a scam.

Got a call on my phone from someone saying they were Sam, sounded Asian, said they were from O2 and tried to sell me a discount. I told them I’m not even an O2 customer and to leave me alone. Honestly, with all the complaints, how is this still allowed to carry on?

Got 3 calls today from different numbers, all from some guy with a thick Asian accent claiming to be from O2. Bit fishy if you ask me.

They keep ringing me without my consent and won’t take my number off their list no matter what I say. Proper annoying!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from '02', asking to talk to the main account holder about a 40% discount on our bill. We’re actually with O2, but it sounded dodgy so we just ended the call straight away, didn’t even entertain it for long.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2, offering me a whopping 40% discount on my phone bill. They enquired if I was the main account holder. As I was busy at work, I informed them of my situation, but they became rather curt, insisting it would merely take “two minutes” of my time. I suggested I would reach out to O2 later and requested to be transferred to the relevant department. The caller insisted, saying, “No, I’ll ring you again.” When I stood firm, saying I’d prefer to contact O2 myself, they abruptly replied, “Alright, bye,” and cut the call.

I got a call earlier today promoting a hefty 40% discount on my bill. They were keen to connect me with my supervisor, but I decided to cut the call short. Honestly, I'm not sure if there's any truth to it, but my gut instinct told me it was dodgy.

I recently received a phone call from this number where the caller claimed to be offering me a 30% discount. They proceeded to inquire about my account and even sent me a code via text message. I chose to overlook it and pointed out that if they were genuinely representing O2, they ought to possess my account information already. At that point, they hastily ended the call!

I couldn't help but think this was a dodgy call, especially since I haven't signed up for any contracts with O2. The chap on the other end had a distinct Indian accent and claimed he could slash my O2 bill by a whopping 45% as a “thank you” for being a loyal customer. It all seemed a bit too good to be true, if you ask me!

Looks like a scam to me. They called pretending to be from O2 and said I could get 40% off my bill. Definitely not legit.

Beware, this isn’t 02 at all. They’re just trying to pull a scam on you.

At first I thought the caller was from BT or Openreach, but it quickly became clear they were faking it. As soon as I caught on, I just ended the call straight away.

Beware of a scam linked to 02. The caller offers you a 40% reduction on your monthly bill, claiming they're running a special deal. If you say yes, they'll ask to send you a security code. What they’re really doing is fake-reporting to 02 that you’ve lost your password, so 02 sends out a legit code for account access. Then the scammer asks for that code (even though 02 sends a warning not to share it with anyone) and prompts you to answer your security question. Once they’ve got that, they can get into your account, purchase things, and access your personal info. Watch out!

So this bloke with an Indian or Pakistani sounding accent rang me up, said he was from 02 and had a 40% discount offer. He wanted to send me some kind of code so he could check my details. When I told him I couldn’t read texts while chatting, he began shouting a bit. Luckily, I managed to get him off the line. I told him I was expecting an emergency call ‘cause I wasn’t feeling well.

Got a call from a guy speaking with what sounded like an Indian or Middle Eastern accent. He said he was ringing from 02, but I’m actually on Voxi. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming he was ringing from 02. Told him he was mistaken, and he just ended the call right after.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2. He said I was eligible for a 40% discount since I’m a loyal customer, mentioning they’re losing a ton of clients. Honestly, don’t trust it one bit. It’s very likely a total scam. Just end the call straight away and don’t share any details with them.

Got a call from some Indian call centre saying they were with 02. Thing is, I’m not even an 02 customer, so obviously a scam. Just blocked the number straight away.
