Just got a call from these lot about some supposed crash I was involved in a couple of years back. Since I work as a senior fraud investigator for the insurance fraud bureau, I thought I’d have a bit of a laugh and kept him on the line for about half an hour, playing along. Now I’m actually filing a claim against myself for this ‘accident’. They’re mailing me all the forms, so I’ll find out who they really are and pass it on to the Ministry of Justice to get them shut down.

just got a call from some bloke called William Turner claiming to be from ‘MotoClaim’ about an insurance claim i've supposedly had in the past couple of years. when i asked how he even got my number, he said i had ticked a box on my last insurance renewal in that time frame. the thing is, i haven't even been behind the wheel for like 8 years, £0 worth of claims, so it’s obviously a scam.

I got a call from this number claiming to be part of the "Accident or Minor Incident Investigation Unit," probing about my vehicle. Thankfully, I've not been involved in any accidents, so I felt secure enough to ask them to correspond with me in writing. It’s a pity, though, that many others might not be as assured or might have had a mishap, leaving them vulnerable to such calls. It really makes one wonder what the motive is behind this. With all the technology at our disposal nowadays, why on earth can't the proper authorities track down these scammers?
