I got a call from someone called Ava who sounded like she had a South African accent. She said she was ringing from a company that sounded like Red Rose Solutions about a small car accident, saying it was already sorted. When I asked where she was, she said Edinburgh. I told her she didn’t sound like she was from Edinburgh at all, then she just hung up on me! I've blocked the number now.

Yesterday, this number tried to get through, but since we use BT Call Blocker and the contact wasn't saved, the phone just stayed silent. I answered the call with a cheery 'Hello', only for her to refer to me as Mrs Robinson. I promptly corrected her, stating it’s Robertson. Yet she repeated Mrs Robinson! I tried again to clarify with Robertson, but before I knew it, she’d hung up on me! Clearly, if she can’t even get my name right, she’s not really wanting to chat. Blocked!

I've been inundated with calls from this particular number, all regarding a little bump I was involved in recently. They keep badgering me about claiming compensation since I've got comprehensive insurance. They claim to represent some kind of central insurance organisation, but I’ve never come across them before. Honestly, I’ve blocked loads of their numbers at this point. I'm absolutely fed up with repeatedly telling them I'm not interested!

Got a call on my home phone and they somehow knew my first name, even tho my number's private. Some bloke with a strong South Asian accent rang up, going on about a 'recent car crash' (which never happened, btw). I didn't say anything to confirm who I was, just quickly asked how they got my number and then they just cut off. Total scam, stay clear.

This person called and actually said my husband’s name, but he had a hard time making out what was being said.
