I rang Nationwide using the contact details on their official site, and they told me it was a scam, not from them at all. Just a heads up, these scammers really know how to trick you!

I got a text from a mobile number asking me to ring this 033038 number to check on a suspicious debit card charge, supposedly from Nationwide. They tried to push me into giving my security info, but it’s definitely a dodgy scam. Best thing is to just ignore these messages completely.
