About ten minutes after I’d rung a local emergency plumber I found in the Yellow Pages, this number buzzed me, but I didn’t pick up. I'd been speaking with a guy who sounded like he was in a busy call centre. He asked loads of the usual questions then gave me a ridiculous price to fix a tap in my bathroom. I said no thanks, but he kept pushing, saying he’d check if the price might come down. That’s when I started getting a bad feeling, so I just thanked him and ended the call.
