This phone number is linked to Magic Planet. Apparently, I’m not alone in being duped by this outfit. Best to steer clear of them!!!

I managed to get a refund by giving Zamano, their related company, a call.

This number kept ringing me and then just cutting off right at the start. It’s happened more than once. From what I’ve gathered, picking up the phone on this number somehow signs you up for a subscription that charges you and sends annoying messages. I didn’t even clock that I’d been getting billed for half a year. When you try to contact the company behind it, you just get sent to voicemail, and no one ever calls back. Honestly, feels like a total scam to me. Might even think about taking legal steps over it.

This has to be a scam. I've never seen any of these messages pop up on my phone, so I really don't get how they charged me for them!

Get in touch with Zamano (just search on ggogle) since they manage this company’s service, and they should be stopped.

Total nightmare. Tried sorting it with Virgin and they just told me to ring this 03303326290 number and claimed they'd send the refund by post. Yeah right, not holding my breath on that one. Virgin really couldn't care less.

I hadn't bothered looking at my bill for a few months and just realised I've been paying £4.60 every month for the past four months. Proper annoyed about it!

my kids got texts from them and each time it ended up charging me £4.50 on the bill! really annoying way to hit your wallet.

Magic Planet is total rubbish. I've had my network provider EE block their number now. Honestly, phone companies should be doing more to prevent this nonsense. Trying to call them is pointless as nobody picks up. I’m gonna try emailing instead. I gave them a deadline to sort my refund, but I really don’t expect to get any money back.

Found two charges of £4.50 each on my bill for SMS messages I never sent. No clue how this business managed to get hold of my info. Virgin Mobile aren't willing to refund me. I've gone ahead and filed complaints with Ofcom, ICO, and Phonepayplus now.

Absolute joke! I got hit with a £4.50 charge just for getting a text, and even after I texted 'stop' loads of times, they kept trying to charge me again. All this while I’m using the 3 network! Proper rip off.

Just like a lot of people here, I got a text on 30/3/16 and then saw a charge of £3.75 on my bill. I never knowingly signed up for anything, and when I asked EE for a refund, they wouldn’t give it back! I’ve now told EE to block these messages and they promised I won’t get charged again. I made sure to save the whole online chat as proof, just in case.

Has anyone come across Magic Planet? I'm curious about those text charges they mentioned. Specifically, I'm looking into the number 70046049. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, if you get texts from that number, just reply with STOP to 65466 and they should leave you alone. Proper pain otherwise. Bloody nuisance! £3.75 gone, what a joke. Mad Scotsman here.

I got this call too, here in Telford, on the 30th. I reported the details to phonepay plus and also sent the message on to Ofcom’s spam reporting. EE gave me a number to sort out the charge dispute, but it just put me straight onto an answer machine for the game centre at Magic Planet. No way to talk to anyone. It’s a total rip-off, bloody scammers.

I ran into this too. Someone at Tesco Mobile said to text STOP to 65466, and then I got a reply saying I’d been unsubscribed alright. Don’t even know how I ended up signed up for it anyhow. Nick from Telford, Shropshire.

Just got charged £4.50 for a single text I received, can you believe that? Ridiculous!

I got hit with a £4.50 fee outta nowhere, these UK phone companies must be in on it with all these scam firms, probably splitting the cash. It’s ridiculous, when will the UK government actually step up and sort these crooks out? I hadn’t even used my phone’s internet for days, so how come I got a message saying I’ve been charged? Makes no sense!

Absolute scam artists! They’re sending texts from 700046049 to teens' phones, then charging £3.75 for every single message received. My lad got one too. I rang up EE, our network, and they gave me 03303326290 as a number to get a refund. But whenever you call that number, it just goes straight to voicemail. Turns out it’s some gaming place. Meanwhile, my boy is swamped with his GCE exams, he’s got no time for nonsense like this. I’ve left clear messages, so we’ll see what happens next.
