I received a message that was identical, both in terms of the amount mentioned and the day it arrived. I do hold an account with Natwest, but I’m pretty certain it’s a scam. The wording and punctuation just seem off to me.

I got a text that seemed to be from Natwest, inquiring whether I had made a transfer of £870 and advising me to ring a certain number for verification. The odd thing is, I don’t even hold an account with Natwest; I’m actually with RBS. Does anyone have a clue if this is legitimate or have any idea whose number it could be? The number in question is 0330 332 6234.
