I’m not really clear on how franchising operates, but I doubt they’re actually calling on behalf of BT. I let it run a bit just to hear the sales spiel, but the sneaky way they went about it didn’t sit right with me. So, I kindly told them no thanks and then blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying they were a BT Business rep, asking for all my personal details to "verify the account". Bit fishy if you ask me, just the usual trick to get your info. Definitely a scam call!

Following up on what’s been shared before: A female on the line, who identifies herself as Alex, is misleadingly asserting that she's representing BT. She claims to help you evaluate your BT service to save you some cash! This is an absolute scam; they are definitely not affiliated with BT, and engaging with them will likely end up costing you more. It’s best not to return the call either, as it will set you back at least 16p (or potentially even more) per minute. This call appears to be routed through Ziron Limited, a firm listed as providing "alternative telecom services" by Companies House.
Steer clear of these con artists and simply hang up.

I received a rather off-putting call from someone named Alex who claimed to be from BT regarding my account. When I inquired why she was looking to review my details, especially considering the odd phone number she was using, she became quite hostile. It was quite bizarre, honestly, and she hung up without so much as a farewell. But then again, this kind of conduct seems par for the course with BT, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was all a scam.
