They rang me claiming to be from o2 and wanted me to confirm if I was the account holder. When I asked why they were calling, they refused to tell me unless I confirmed my identity. I told them not to call back and said I'd get in touch with o2 directly if needed. The caller spoke English with an Asian accent.

Got a call from this number a couple months back. They sounded legit and convinced me to get a new phone and plan for my daughter with some sort of "loyalty discount". But when I checked, the discount never showed up. Contacted O2 and they said the plan I was given wasn’t eligible. After I raised a complaint, they finally gave me the discount, but it’s obvious now the person who rang me wasn’t really from O2. They called again today but I ignored it. Now I’m certain it’s not O2, so I’m just gonna block the number.

Just like many others, I got in touch with O2 and they told me this is definitely a scam. They said the number and company have no connection to them whatsoever - best to block it straight away.
