They rang me claiming to be from o2 and wanted me to confirm if I was the account holder. When I asked why they were calling, they refused to tell me unless I confirmed my identity. I told them not to call back and said I'd get in touch with o2 directly if needed. The caller spoke English with an Asian accent.

I've been receiving calls from this number for the past three days, typically at a rate of two a day. Got a call from this number a couple months back. They sounded legit and convinced me to get a new phone and plan for my daughter with some sort of "loyalty discount". But when I checked, the discount never showed up. Contacted O2 and they said the plan I was given wasn’t eligible. After I raised a complaint, they finally gave me the discount, but it’s obvious now the person who rang me wasn’t really from O2. They called again today but I ignored it. Now I’m certain it’s not O2, so I’m just gonna block the number.

Just like many others, I got in touch with O2 and they told me this is definitely a scam. They said the number and company have no connection to them whatsoever - best to block it straight away.

They claimed to be 02, but when I rang 02 directly they said nope, not them. Weirdly, they had loads of details about my phone plan and usage! Definitely a third party!!
