SCAM ALERT - I got a dodgy text pretending to be from Lloyds Bank saying there was some shady activity on my account. It told me to ring 0330 190 0916 if I didn’t recognise the transactions. Definitely a fraud attempt.

0330 190 0916 is a SCAM!! Got a text supposedly from Lloyds bank saying someone tried to take £815.29 from an account under the name ‘Shirley Lewis’. Said if it wasn’t me, to ring them on 0330 190 0916. It also included an OTP code 7843. Don’t trust it, def a fraud alert!

Got a text saying someone from HSBC's fraud team was ringing about a £190 direct debit. I phoned back but the stuff they asked just felt off, so I ended the call. After that, I double-checked with HSBC and they had no clue about any of it.

Over the past couple of days, I got several calls from people saying they were with Citizens Advice. They were telling me about some government plan that can erase half your debt or something like that. I wasn’t having any of it and just ended the call right away since it sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from some woman claiming to be from Citizens Advice Bureau, said I supposedly had debt I didn't know about. Turned out to be a right con, sounded like she was from India or somewhere. I called her out for lying, said she wasn’t with CAB, and just ended the call. Blocked her after that.

So this bloke with a really strong accent, called himself Michael. When I asked where he was ringing from, he claimed it was the Citizens Advice. Then when I wanted to know how he got my number, he just told me "that's none of your business" and then just cut me off. Pretty obvious it was a scam to me.

I keep getting calls from folks saying they're from citizen advice, but it feels dodgy. Weirdly, it's always someone with an Indian accent on the line, and the phone numbers never begin with 08, which makes me suspicious. Definitely feels like some kind of scam to me.
