I wouldn't trust HSBC at all, wouldn’t even consider banking with them!

Got a text claiming to be from HSBC, but it’s a total con. Don’t respond to it, really dodgy scam stuff. Stay safe!

I reckon this number was trying to pull a fast one, posing as though they were from the fraud prevention team at HSBC. Definitely felt like a phishing scam to me!

Got a one-time code for a payment of £542.89 to John Lewis through a text. The message included a number to ring if you wanted to report fraud. Strange thing is, it came tacked onto the end of some other messages listing past transactions I'd done. Really weird mix-up.

Hey, just got a text with a one-time code 673266 for a payment of £742.89 to Currys with reference RBS2G6. I didn’t make this payment tho. If it isn’t you either, you should ring fraud straight away at 03301900830 to sort it out.

Got a message from some bloke calling himself Nigel, supposedly from HSBCUKPASCD, about a charge of £792.82 to AIRBNB. Same annoying scam as before.

That dodgy bloke Nigel even sent me a text from the number printed on the back of my HSBC card to “confirm” the phone number I was told to ring was legit HSBC. Then he asked me to give him the code that arrived in the message.

Just got a weird text, said it was from Airbnb with some code and wanted me to pay £792.82. They said if it wasn’t me to call a number. Seemed dodgy so I checked Airbnb’s official site and they don’t have a phone number anywhere! Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it, just block.

I got a text saying it was from HSBCUKPASCD about a £595.50 charge for an Airbnb booking. Since I'd actually booked something like that recently, I called the number back and ended up speaking to a bloke named Nigel. Then he started asking for my sort code, account details and the three-digit CVC on the back of my card, telling me to enter it with my phone keypad. Clearly a dodgy scam, so I quickly had to cancel my cards. These scammers really know how to make it sound believable and tricky to spot.
