Got a text like the others about an OTP from HSBC, but I don't even have an account there. It said something about a payment of £542.89 at ASDA. Just ignored it and deleted the message straight away.

Just got a TXT saying something about a one-time password for £542.89 from Asda with HSBC. I’ve never even had an HSBC account and definitely won’t be opening one. Total scam alert.

These folks are proper scammers. I made the mistake of answering their call, and the bloke acted like he worked at my bank. He was constantly nagging me for my account details and how much money I had. I ended the call straight away. He then wanted me to ring back. I've already reported this number to the cops.
