It's rather peculiar, isn’t it? They even referenced my insurance provider-how on earth did they get that information? The call came from 330 190 0452. Quite the mystery!

Like many before me, I received a call from this number. When I picked up, they promptly disconnected the line. It’s clearly a dodgy outfit attempting to pull a fast one.

Got a call from some people trying to check if I’d applied to the council or housing. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Today I got a call from a woman speaking English (which was a nice change!). She claimed I’d been sorting a funeral plan with someone she worked with just last week. I told her that wasn’t true, then she tried to sell me on getting a funeral plan anyway. I joked back saying why would I need one when I’m basically immortal, lol. Ended up hanging up 'cause I couldn’t stop laughing!

It’s best to just ignore calls from numbers you don’t know. Cold callers are usually wasting your time.

Whenever I phone up, it seems no one picks up.

Received a call that flagged up as spam, claiming it was regarding life insurance. Apparently, I was meant to have reviewed something last year. I can say with certainty that’s not true, as I’ve been settled with my life insurance for five years already. When I probed for more details on their call, the person abruptly hung up on me. I've since added the number to my blocked list.

I always found it funny when my Dad used to moan about how the country's going downhill, but now, after forty years, I can see what he meant. Johnny Gupta and his gang of overseas BT scammers keep ringing up, and it’s like they’re arriving both by phone and even by dinghy across the Channel. Honestly, they don’t share any of our values at all. It’s a proper mess.

I received a call from someone probing whether they were speaking to Pauline. When I confirmed that I was, they abruptly ended the conversation. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang the number back only to hear from a chap claiming to be from the Housing Repair Team, saying I was listed as a tenant. I promptly clarified that I wasn’t, and they swiftly expressed their apologies. Quite the peculiar exchange!

Got a call from 0330 190 0290 asking if I got some vouchers. I didn’t share any info with them though, just asked what it was about. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I received a call inquiring whether I had gotten my vouchers for filling out a life insurance survey. To be honest, I couldn’t recall doing it as I have no intention of taking out any more life insurance. The caller insisted that I had filled it in before the pandemic, which might explain my memory lapse. I couldn’t help but question why it had taken ages to send them out, to which she replied that they’d only just returned to the office. Quite the saga, isn't it?🙄

I missed the call because I was driving and by the time I got to it, they’d already hung up. After seeing what others are saying here, I’ve decided to block the number. Surely they’re running low on phone numbers, or maybe BT just needs to do something about this!

I mentioned that I had participated in a life insurance survey and was promised some high street vouchers. They verified my name and address but I didn’t provide any other personal information. I ended the call and promptly blocked the number.

I picked up and heard loads of noise in the background, but the person said they were from the council’s repair team for tenants. Thing is, I actually own my house, so this has to be some kind of scam. Definitely stay clear of it!

Not sure about this one. It showed up as possibly a scam, so I just ignored it. It rang on two occasions though.

Right after I picked up, they just dropped the call on me. Then outta nowhere, they rung back in like 5 mins. This time I took it and they started asking for my bank info. I told them I was on me mum’s phone to dodge the question. Then they went on with strange questions about how old I was, where I lived, and even my gender, all while chuckling weirdly. Didn’t waste any more time, ended the call and made a police report.

I got a call from someone called 'Paul' who claimed my landlord had okayed their team to handle my repair issues - my landlord actually has their own proper repairs crew. He asked what problems I was facing, but I said I’d first speak to my landlord about it. After that, the caller didn’t bother pushing it anymore. Pretty sure it was a scam. Best not to get involved with these sorts of calls.

Received a rather peculiar phone call from this number earlier today, inquiring about any outstanding repairs needed at my home. The caller didn’t bother introducing themselves at all. Definitely sounds dodgy! Best to steer clear of these scammers!

Received a call inquiring about any unresolved home repairs. No doubt in my mind that it was a scammer. I've now blocked the number.

Quite suspicious, this one! The number resembles that of a credit reference agency I’ve been anticipating a call from. They mentioned ‘Tony’ and promptly disconnected. Such a pity, as I was all set to unleash my usual tactic, feigning that my number was a confidential government line and that their call was now under investigation. I'm certain they'll ring again, giving me the opportunity to have a bit of a laugh.

Over the past few weeks, this number has called me several times. Each time I pick up, there's just silence on the other end for ages, so I end up hanging up. Sometimes they call repeatedly, then they use almost the same number but the last three digits are different. My best advice is to just block these numbers to avoid the hassle.
