I got a text from this number with an OTP for something supposedly bought at Argos, then it said to ring Lloyds fraud team on this same number. Problem is, I don't have any Halifax or Lloyds accounts, so this looks dodgy to me.

Received a text the other day prompting me to verify a £355 transaction with Argos. Clearly a scam.

I recently encountered a dodgy situation involving a supposed Lloyds Bank security code linked to an Argos transaction. It's all very suspect!

I don’t even have an account with Lloyds, but I got this text saying I needed to verify a payment of £355 to Argos using a one-time code. It then told me to ring their fraud team at 03301900095 if I didn’t do it. Sounds like a proper scam to me!!!

Got a text off them but I’m not a Lloyds customer at all! So weird!

Got a call saying I’d been charged £350 at Boots, which I never did, telling me to ring them back with a one-time passcode. Total scam! They’re just trying to get you to call and then grab your info to hack your account. Don’t fall into this trap! Avoid clicking any links, and for god’s sake, don’t call or share any details. Watch out and keep safe :)

Absolutely dodgy number. I’d say avoid calling it at all costs.

Got a text from a number, seemed like one of those scam calls. Like others said, I didn't reply or call back, just read the message and ignored it. Feels like the usual scam stuff going around.

Got the exact same dodgy text everyone else is talking about here. Pretty obvious it’s a scam. Funny thing is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds! Makes me wanna ring that so-called "fraud helpline" just to hear what nonsense they come up with.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from Lloyds Bank, but honestly, sounded like a proper weirdo just pretending. Definitely not genuine.

So I received a text saying "Your OTP is 763390 for a transaction of £353.53 GBP to Argos." It seemed legit at first, especially since it appeared to be from Lloyds Bank. What made me doubtful though was that this popped up on my kid's phone, and they don’t have any bank accounts linked to their number.

Got a message from this number pretending to be LloydsBank, but I’m not even a customer there. It’s definitely a scam. The text said something like: Your One Time Passcode is 763390 for a payment of 353.53GBP to ARGOS - Ref:RB9U. If you didn’t make this transaction, ring the fraud team on 03301900095. Just a heads up, this is bogus. Don’t ever ring that number.

On the 6th of October, 2022, I received a text message that seemed to be from Lloyds Fraud - it included a one-time password and said if it wasn’t me, I should ring their fraud team on 0330 190 0095. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds!
