Got a call about some repairs on my house that I never had done. They kicked off by asking me how I was, but never told me who they were. When I started asking questions, they seemed a bit dodgy and ended up hanging up on me when I suggested they were trying to scam me.

Today I received a call from someone with an Indian accent who was rambling about some house issues I have no clue about. It seemed like the usual scam attempt. Be careful and don't share any details with callers like that!

They said they were ringing from the housing dept about an issue I’d supposedly mentioned. Thing is, I never made any complaint. Definitely a dodgy call, trying that old trick about prior housing problems, but really just fishing for info. I didn’t give out a thing and quickly hung up. If anyone else gets this kind of call, don’t give them your name, address, or anything about your housing. Better safe than sorry, be wary of these calls.
