FAKE CALLS ARE EVERYWHERE! Make sure you report any dodgy calls you get. Just Google ‘action fraud’ and head over to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the section on ‘report a phishing attempt’ and give it a good read. After that, put all the details of the scam call into the police’s system. This is the best way to help the police track how bad these scams really are.

I pointed out that I typically get notified about promotions via text, and she mentioned she would send me an email with the details. I then asked her to call me back so I could speak directly on my phone instead of my watch, but I never got a return call or that promised email. Quite odd, really!

Classic O2 again; tricky and sneaky, seems like they’ve changed their style after people posted here (like O2 UK is now O2UK). Seriously, who offers discounts nowadays? Yet here we are! If they really want to give a deal, why not just go for it? The giveaway was a comment from 7/3/22 in this thread where O2 said it wasn’t legit. So yeah, it’s a scam. Sadly, this just makes folks suspicious of ‘one-time codes’ unless you asked for them yourself.
