5 yearsTotal rip off!5 yearsSCAM ALERT! Got a call about a discount on my fridge freezer and oven, sounded a bit off. I rang the insurance company that covers my stuff just to be sure, and they said they never made that call. Definitely a scam, watch out!5 yearsReally happy there’s a site like this. When I get calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I just let it ring out and then look them up here. Big thanks to everyone who’s shared their experiences - I’ll definitely add mine if I ever get tricked.5 yearsAbout a month ago, I got a call asking about my washing machine model. Since then, this number has been ringing me every day, pushing some "appliance insurance." They asked for my sort code for data protection reasons - I gave them a made-up one along with a fake name. Then, before sending any details, they insisted on my bank account number. I gave a false account too, but they said they’d only send info once they verified the account. They tried to sell cover for my washer, cooker, and fridge-freezer at £14.99 a month but wouldn’t say who they were or exactly what was included until I handed over bank details. They hung on the line for over 30 minutes while I pretended to search for my card, very pushy. They claim they're from Bournemouth - seems dodgy to me, probably a scam.Bournemouth5 yearsA woman phoned claiming she was renewing my insurance for my fridge freezer, cooker and washing machine. I told her I never had any cover to renew, but she kept cutting me off and saying she’d sort it anyway. I kept telling her there was no insurance with them, then she just hung up on me. Definitely a scam!5 yearsI get calls all the time where it rings and when I pick up it's dead silence. Happens loads every week, sometimes even a bunch of times in one day. So weird!!!Submit Your Own Report (0330 174 6783)
