Missed a ring earlier, but honestly I usually get bombarded with about 15 sales calls a day. Most of the time the caller's spot is shown right under the number (lately loads coming from Edinburgh), which is quite handy. I don’t stress over those since I’m not interested in chatting with anyone on the mainland. What bugs me more are those odd, non-geographic numbers though. Sometimes it could be something important, like from the doc, hospital, or energy company, cos they don't always have the usual Northern Ireland number codes. So I get a bit wary ’cause it might actually be something legit.

Since I turned 50, I’ve been getting loads of calls like that. I always tell them I’m not bothered about funeral expenses, cos I’ll be dead anyway - so it ain’t really my problem! They might as well just chuck me off a cliff for all I care! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Usually, I find saying I’m “chronically unemployed” right off the bat usually makes them hang up pretty quick!

Missed a call with no info on where they were ringing from, so I looked up the number. I get pestered by cold callers from first thing most days. Normally they show a location - Edinburgh’s been quite common lately. I’ve tried loads of ways to stop them but no luck. Lately, especially with early calls, I answer and then just leave the phone down without saying a word, letting them hang about saying "Hello? Hello?!" (thinking it might drain their credit but probably doesn’t at all). Really grateful for this site!
