Beware of this number! They run a nasty scam pretending to be a kids’ charity. Honestly, that’s all you need to hear to stay clear. Don’t even think about answering or calling back.

Today, I received a proper call from this number. After seeing some silent calls linked to it before, I thought it was just another annoying scam and let it go to voicemail. But the caller left a message saying they were welcoming me as a new member of Avon Wildlife Trust, which I've recently signed up for. When I mentioned that this site lists the number as 'harassing', he told me it's actually a shared number charities use to make calls at a lower cost. So, while some calls from this number can be a pain, others are perfectly legit.

This was a REAL call from a charity trying to raise awareness about liver tests to help save lives. I just got a call and had it marked as a HMRC tax scam on my phone, but it was nothing like that. The guy was really nice and asked if I wanted to get more involved in the campaign since I’d signed a petition (which I actually did).

Got a call on Sunday afternoon at 4:20pm claiming it was about that marriage allowance tax thing I looked up online. Figured HMRC wouldn’t be ringing on a Sunday, so I just ended the call. Funny thing is, the same number buzzed me a couple of days back, threatening arrest over some supposed debt I owed. Definately dodgy, so I blocked the number straight away.

They've rung me three times on my phone which is odd since they say they don't cold call or use lists, but I’ve never signed up with any charity! Anyone who phones out of the blue asking for bank info should be very careful. Besides leaving comments here, maybe people should also leave a review on Trustpilot.

A woman called saying she was from Sue Ryder and wanted to chat about supporting their charity. I said it wasn't a good time and asked her to call later. But after I hung up and checked, the number showed up as Possible Fraud!! Watch out, everyone!

Definitely put a block on this number. It looks like a premium service, or at least I hope it isn’t, from some group called QTS fundraising. Usually, I just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. These lot have called me a few times now. I do volunteer work occasionally, so I do get random calls sometimes from strangers. This time the number came up while I was already on another call, and I thought maybe it was someone needing our help, so I gave it a ring back.
I’m not sure how everyone else feels about cold calls like this, but for me, they really put me off donating to whatever charity they’re promoting. Went ahead and blocked the number after that.
