I was on my break at work and just picked up the phone out of boredom. A young guy called and it took him a few tries to say where he was calling from - some Pension Review Company or something. He asked if I was still getting my pension statements, so I asked which pension he meant. He didn’t really seem to know and just said ‘the one you pay into at work’. Since my pension’s private, I asked him to name my pension provider. That’s when he just ended the call.

Make sure you sign up with the telephone preference service. If you do, they’re not allowed to ring you unless you’ve given permission. Some people claim your TPS registration expires but that’s rubbish, it stays active forever.
