They've been ringing nonstop for the last couple days. I blocked the number, but they somehow keep getting through and even left voicemail, though there was nothing on it. When I finally picked up, the bloke claimed I’d been on some energy comparison website at 1.05pm, which I never have. He called me Stella, which definitely isn’t my name, then asked for my real name - I refused to tell him and was pretty blunt and unfriendly. Even after blocking, they just won’t give up.

Loads of folks reckon it’s the RAC, which fits as I rang them a bit ago to stop the automatic renewal on my cover. It’s the RAC, I ended my cover after a free year that came with the car I bought. I had to get my bank involved to stop the payments because the only way to cancel your renewal is by phone, and when you call they try to persuade you to keep it. I’ve had missed calls three times over the past couple of days from 03301591339, but every time the call just stops ringing before I can answer. Feels like there’s nothing they want to say, so I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam.

Sounds like the RAC finance team is messing things up, probably because their internal records are all wrong or something.

They called me but didn’t leave any voicemail or message. I’m not bothering to call back unless they say who they are and what it’s about. Sounds like a spam call to me!
