If you want to prevent any more money being taken from your debit card, ring up your bank and ask for a new one. They’ll cancel the old card so no more withdrawals can happen. Best to do it straight away once you spot what these scoundrels are doing.

I've found myself shelling out more on my phone bill lately and have had to purchase extra data for the past three months. Unfortunately, with the ongoing pandemic, it seems like there aren’t many staff available at O2 to assist me, which makes sorting this out a real headache. I've gone ahead and blocked all the texts, and even messaged 'stop' to number 85222, but I'm still in the dark. Honestly, I'm 72 years old and haven't signed up for anything - I just want to get this resolved without all this hassle. Is there anyone who could lend a hand with this? Today’s date is Monday, 4th May 2020.

This morning, I woke up to a rather bewildering message stating that I'm part of something called "Deal Alerts Club." What on earth is that? I've never heard of them, nor did I ever subscribe. Apparently, they're planning to wallet-rape me £4.50 a week until I text STOP to 85222! And the so-called 'help' number is 033013 40183, but it’s a ticking clock with potential costs to either ring or message. Absolute nonsense!

What’s the best way to reclaim my funds? They’re in debt to me for £36! I absolutely refuse to shell out any money since they’ve been conning me for far too long. I can’t even ring them up because my phone’s been disconnected due to their nonsense. To top it off, I’m struggling to locate an email address to lodge a complaint. I simply won’t pay for something I never requested!

I would appreciate it if someone could assist me in removing this from my phone. I really can’t justify spending £4 each week on calls that I hardly use. I've made several attempts to sort this out, but to no avail. Any guidance would be greatly valued!

I seem to be shelling out £3.00 each week, but I'm utterly baffled as to why! What on earth is this charge for?

I phoned Sky Mobile about it and they’ve blocked all premium rate numbers from taking anything from my account, especially from this scammer. You can’t ring premium numbers for competitions or whatever now, but maybe that’s a good thing. Sky are aware of the problem anyway.

I really don’t fancy receiving any text messages, thanks very much. They seem to be suggesting I send ‘STOP’ to 85222, which feels like a ploy to siphon money from me! Not keen on that, at all!

Absolutely infuriating! I've been a target of their scams since May 2016 without even realising it! I reckon O2 should shoulder some of the blame, as they have a responsibility to look after their customers' interests. This situation is utterly intolerable! I demand a refund immediately!

I got ripped off £59 myself, tried texting STOP but it didn’t go through. Virgin Mobile have blocked all premium numbers for me now (fingers crossed it sticks). No clue how I got caught up in this scam, I can’t remember ever signing up for anything that chargers £4.50 a week. The scam was called DEAL ALERTS but I never saw any deals whatsoever. Honestly, would be good to know how I got signed up and what I was even meant to be paying for.

This firm has been siphoning off £15 from my account each month without my permission since August 2016. I’ve made countless attempts to reach them by telephone, but all I get is a recorded message.

I too have fallen victim to this dodgy operation. It seems I inadvertently entered a PIN to join a competition, which then allowed them to siphon off funds from my O2 account. This nonsense has been dragging on since last September. I’ve tried ringing them up, but was told I need to send an email with my itemised bill if I want to make any progress. I haven’t received a single text from them since January 2017, and as someone mentioned earlier, I went ahead and deleted all of those I had received before that. It’s high time the phone providers took some responsibility for letting these fraudsters run amok. Surely, they possess a duty of care and must be aware of these underhanded tactics. To say I’m absolutely livid would be putting it mildly, but what irks me even more is that I've only just cottoned on to the whole situation!
9 years
I've also fallen victim to a scam and I’m absolutely seething that there seems to be no way to put an end to this nonsense! I’m considering switching my number in the hopes that’ll provide some relief. Truly appalling, to say the very least!

I find myself in a similar situation, trying to remedy this issue, but alas, I've not succeeded thus far. I've even resorted to using my ancient mobile just to send messages and make calls. All the prior communications I've received suggest that nothing has changed. It's quite baffling that this continues. As a senior citizen, I've no desire to deal with this hassle. I would sincerely appreciate a resolution to this matter once and for all.

I've been experiencing a rather frustrating situation where £4.50 keeps disappearing from my mobile phone balance each month. It's become quite the nuisance, as every time I top up, that same £4.50 vanishes before I can even use my phone. I've attempted to contact the numbers provided, but they seem to be completely bogus - no luck at all! I even sought assistance from my local phone shop, but they were just as baffled. I'm at my wits' end; it’s driving me round the bend! To make matters worse, the text number they supplied is consistently coming back as unrecognised. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed that funds have been mysteriously deducted from my phone account despite never signing up for any services. This feels like outright fraud, and I firmly believe that 'Three.co.uk' bears responsibility for letting this occur. I'm planning to approach the small claims court to reclaim my hard-earned cash and secure a court order to prevent Three mobile from fleecing their customers any further. If anyone's interested in banding together to combat this fraudulent activity, feel free to drop me a line at '[email protected].' Let's tackle this issue head-on!

I too have fallen victim to a scam. I never subscribed to this service, yet they've managed to withdraw over £400 from my bank account and are relentless in their pursuit of an additional £95. As a 77-year-old, paying £4.50 for a single text message is utterly absurd to me. I'm baffled by the entire situation, and now I find myself burdened with the stress of trying to reclaim my money. Surely, three.co.uk has a responsibility to their clientele, and they must be aware that this is happening, right? I've gone so far as to cancel my mobile plan because I simply couldn't justify maintaining it anymore, but no one has suggested involving the police! This is outright fraud, and I demand a refund.

I've noticed about £60 has gone missing from my account. Virgin have been rather uncooperative in addressing the issue and haven't managed to halt the incessant texts. On occasion, I've even been billed for messages that weren't sent at all. As someone with disabilities, I'm quite anxious to have that money reimbursed as quickly as possible.

I’ve just taken a peek at my recent mobile bill online and was absolutely horrified to discover that this firm has been siphoning off £121.75 from my account since April 2016! I’m absolutely appalled, as I never consented to any prize hook nonsense. Each time I received one of those pesky text messages, I simply deleted them, completely oblivious to the fact that money was evaporating from my bank account. My mobile provider has pointed out that the culprit is a company named SP Two Ltd. I’ll be giving them a ring first thing in the morning to demand a refund for this outrageous situation.

I noticed a deduction of £4.80 from my account for three messages-two that I specifically requested to be stopped, despite the service claiming they were free, and one that I received. It feels like a complete con!

I kindly request that you cease all text messages to my mobile, as I have never signed up for any competition affiliated with your company. I also expect an immediate refund for any funds taken from my account. Thank you.

For the past three months, I've been receiving a barrage of texts from some unknown number, and I was completely oblivious to what was happening. Out of nowhere, they’ve pilfered £19.00 from my account without my consent! To add insult to injury, the total damage amounts to a staggering £41.42, all siphoned off by various text numbers - it’s appalling! 😤

Is there anyone out there who has any idea how I might be able to reclaim my hard-earned cash? I'm at my wits' end!

I've had £70.19 taken from my account. I called a number that my mobile provider mistakenly gave me, and all they did was initiate a case for a refund. Now this month, another £55.08 has been deducted, so it’s obvious they haven't removed me from whatever scheme this is. The ridiculous thing is, I never even agreed to it in the first place! This is nothing short of a scam!

It's quite baffling how certain companies get their hands on these numbers to exploit them for unscrupulous activities. Someone ought to be held accountable for this! And honestly, we deserve our £4.50 back, especially since they’ve taken it without us even signing up for anything! It's simply not on!

I’ve encountered a premium number that completely ignores my attempts to halt their messages. I’ve texted STOP to 61455, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will put an end to it. It’s downright scandalous-these individuals ought to face legal action for their deceitful practices!

Found over £48 charged to my phone without my consent. I got in touch with the regulator who told me to email the company, which I did. They quickly responded, listing the dates and times I supposedly signed up for their competition. I completely deny their claim and plan to take legal action against these fraudsters. Using the Freedom of Information Act, I've requested their records of all complaints from the past 6 and 12 months. I’m not backing down on this - I’m determined to see it through.

I've had loads of £3.75 charges on my bill from texts sent by 61455 via O2, they're clearly scam messages linked to that number. I'm going to put in a formal complaint with O2 and demand they block it, this has to be some kind of fraud.

Who on earth are these people, and what is it that they seek? I’ve got a pay-as-you-go phone plan and I’d prefer not to be bothered by them any further. Could someone please advise me on who I should reach out to regarding this?

This was on my boy's phone, he probably thought he was signing up for some contest or something. We got billed £15 each month for like two months before we spotted it?? Tried ringing 03301340183 but the line was all static, took ages to connect. Gave them his mobile, fingers crossed they stop charging us?? The worst part? The phone went missing a couple months ago, so we’re paying for stuff on a phone we don’t even have?? What a pain!

To halt the texts, just text STOP to 61455 in all uppercase letters.
The number 03301340183 keeps calling me, and it’s a robotic voice; it instructs you to reply with 'stop' if you want the messages to cease.
It's frustrating how these folks manage to pop up on various sites, and simply by scrolling, you might inadvertently activate what they’ve put in place.

61455 took £22.50 off me on my last bill. I’ve texted them STOP to try and halt it. If enough of us report them to Ofcom, maybe they’ll actually do something about it. I honestly don’t get how this is allowed, feels like it has to be illegal.

Absolutely appalled, I've had a similar experience myself. They’ve taken £4.50 from me too! I’ve texted ‘STOP’ in the hopes that will sort things out. Unfortunately, it seems there's no way to reclaim my cash, since trying to call the number incurs another fee each time. It’s utterly infuriating!

I had no idea it was a total scam! A mate of mine mentioned they received an M&S voucher, but then I got hit with a £4.50 charge - absolute madness! I've sent a text to halt anything further, but I’m also ringing up the phone provider just to ensure they can’t pinch any more cash without my consent. It's a right nuisance!

This cheeky scheme... Had some cash swiped from my phone after I signed up for a competition to win a Tesco gift card. I've texted 'stop' and received a reply saying that it’s been halted - fingers crossed that’s the case! I requested a refund, yet amusingly, no money has found its way back to me. I've been wary of ringing the number mentioned above, as I'm concerned it might just be another dodgy con!

I must admit, I was completely oblivious to the fact that this was a scam until they informed me that it would set me back £4.50 a week. I'm not keen on shelling out any money, but the option to send a stop text isn't working for me. I'm feeling quite anxious about the whole situation. It all started with an online survey for Sainsbury's, and now I'm stuck. What are my options?

This number is an absolute con! The website is quite misleading, as it fails to mention any fees upfront. Once you provide your details, you’ll receive a text message, and while you can opt out, they’ll still hit you with a £4.50 charge each time. Total rip-off!

I recently took part in a competition for a Tesco gift voucher, and to my surprise, I received a message informing me that I had signed up for a subscription with Prize.hook.com at a cost of £4.50 each week! Luckily, my phone provider had the good sense to put a block in place, preventing any charges from going through. I rang the 0330 number and was met with an automated message, which allowed me to enter my mobile number to opt out. After doing so, I got a text confirming the cancellation of all my competition entries and assuring me that no further messages would be coming my way.
