I received a rather shaky phone call from a gentleman claiming to be from Dell Technologies. His voice was quite weak, and he seemed to already know my name and the name of my company. He was eager to verify my email address. However, when I probed a bit further about the purpose of his call and his identity, he abruptly ended the conversation! Quite suspicious, I must say.

Picked up the call, and the woman on the line greeted me by name, asking, "Is this...?" I confirmed with a "yes," but after that, there was nothing but silence. So, I decided it was time to hang up.

They’re purporting to be running a survey for Dell and Intel. When I inquired about the name of the agency that Dell and Intel had supposedly enlisted to reach out to their clients, he claimed they didn’t have a specific company name. Upon further questioning, he abruptly terminated the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

They pretended to be gathering information for a survey linked to Dell and Intel. They had my name and business email, so I suspect they must have harvested that from LinkedIn or a similar platform. I told them to jog on and not to ring me again since they hadn't the slightest right to disrupt my day. I then promptly hung up and blocked their number.
