The person on the other end claimed they were calling regarding my washing machine. It seemed they were keen to sell me some sort of insurance for breakdowns. Honestly, I suspect their main aim was to pry my payment information out of me, as they were exceedingly pushy about it.

Got a call about my washing machine, they wanted to push some insurance on me. I said no thanks and ended up hanging up.

Got a call out of the blue, and shockingly they already knew my name. They were trying to push me into buying some sort of breakdown insurance for my washing machine. I said no thanks, but they kept prodding, like they were fishing for more info. No way was I giving out any bank details on the phone. I just told them nicely I wasn’t interested and then ended the call myself.
