I picked up the phone and there was a long pause before he started talking, mentioning something about a repair issue. I tried to find out the name of his company but he just kept talking over me about some government programme for people renting from the council. When I asked who he wanted to speak with, he just said “thanks a lot” and hung up on me. Definitely felt like some kind of scam.

I mentioned the issues with the housing that I'd brought up before, but when I said I hadn't, he just said goodbye and ended the call.

At first I didn't pick up, but when I did I asked who it was. He said his name was Tommy and claimed he was calling about some housing issues I had mentioned.

Totally a scam. When I picked up, it took ages before anyone said anything. The bloke said he was ringing about some housing issue I supposedly reported. I haven’t reported anything like that and told him he’d got the wrong number. Just another dodgy call trying to catch folks out. I reckon it was from some call-centre in India. Honestly, I think the government needs to step up and do more to stop these sorts of scams.

I didnt answer their call at first, but later tried ringing them back. When I did, it said the number wasnt active. Definitely seemed dodgy to me. After looking into it, I think it was one of those scam calls.
