I recently got some letters that seemed to come from a law firm, pushing for payment on an overdue account with British Gas. Popped the phone number into a reverse lookup, and lo and behold, it’s a scam!

One can't help but think that dialing that number might lead to a swarm of issues, possibly kicking off with high call charges.

Every day, I receive multiple phone calls. However, whenever I pick up, all I hear is the sound of a dial tone.

I keep receiving calls from this particular number on my mobile phone. Whenever I have answered it previously, there has been no response. However, earlier today, I received another call on the same mobile from a different number, 033333358787. When I answered, a woman identified herself as being from CC Holidays and mentioned that I had won something. Of course, I have heard this spiel before from other numbers in the past. It's frustrating - I need to figure out how to block these numbers on pay-as-you-go mobiles.
