Good afternoon, I’m reaching out because there’s a charge on my bank account from an online transaction, using my card details. The thing is, I never applied for a loan or made any such payment of £69.85 for any fees. I want to know what can be done about this because I never received any letter or receipt about it, especially since I’ve been abroad for the last two months. I only got the notice back on 9th November and saw it wasn’t something I had authorised. I’ve already reported this as fraud with the police, and they advised me to contact you directly for a solution. Some unknown company withdrew money from my bank without my knowledge. I just managed to get in touch with them, and they’ve taken the exact same amount from me. They claim they can provide proof that I took out the loan, but they want £10 just to send the paperwork either by post or email. Apparently, because I missed the 14-day cooling-off period, I’m only entitled to a £30 refund from what they took out. The person who replied to me is called Jake and his email is [email protected]. If they’ve deducted money from you, keep contacting them until someone answers because from the looks of their email, they might just keep withdrawing funds.
