They told me that a company called Total Solutions had sent them proof I’d used their service. I asked the bank to show me this "proof" and, guess what, they couldn’t actually produce anything. They even forgot to mention that before, and as a sort of make-good, they gave me £25 compensation for the hassle. I’m definitely going back to have another proper word with them. Meanwhile, I called Total Solutions and they agreed to refund me £45, so at least the money’s coming back. But I’m still chasing this up. While I’m writing this, I’m actually on the phone with my bank again. Oh, and Total Solutions apparently said if you ring them before disputing with your bank they’ll refund the full amount.
