She didn’t like that and told me to just ring the "Office" if I wanted. Honestly, I don’t think she was really from Shell Energy Broadband.

Called my home phone when I wasn’t in, number doesn’t look familiar and judging by the comments here plus the loads of 0330 numbers that keep popping up on my voicemail, I’ve just blocked and removed it.

Claimed to be from Shell broadband. Tried to chat with the account owner but couldn’t say who that was. When I didn’t want to give info to “verify security details,” they got annoyed and said they’d disconnect me. Strange attitude for someone so sure they were genuine. I’ve blocked them now.

Kept ringing non stop. Claimed to be from Shell Wifi. Said I had to pay triple my usual bill or they’d switch me off. They kept saying I was mistaken. I pay my bills by DD and my Wifi fee gets taken regularly, so I was sure I wasn’t behind with anything. Told them to go ahead and disconnect me. Called Shell Wifi on their official number just to be sure. Checked my account. All clear, nothing owed. The legit number I used is 03300945801.

Subsequently, I contacted Shell Broadband since I’m a subscriber with them, just to clarify if they were attempting to reach me. After a bit of a wait and some checks on their end, I was informed that this number had no affiliation whatsoever with Shell Broadband. They expressed their gratitude for alerting them about this issue, noting that it has now been logged in their system as a fraudulent number masquerading as Shell.
