When exactly?" and he’d be like "you know," I said "no I don’t." Then he’d insist "yes you do." It went back and forth for ages. Eventually he started shouting down the phone, and I had it on speaker in my car so me and my mate just cracked up. But honestly, it’s proper annoying how often they keep changing their number.

Like others have said, I signed up with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) ages ago. It only took me a couple of minutes, and now if any pesky calls come through, you can report them straight away. After enough complaints, those telemarketers end up with hefty fines. Really hope phone companies start doing more to stop these nuisances. We don’t need them ringing us all the time.

if you’re signed up with the tps, make sure you also report scam calls to the ico. just putting them on here won’t scare scammers, but the ico actually takes notice and it only takes a couple minutes to report online. your phone provider won’t do much either since they actually make money from sellin caller id and other stuff.

I got a call from some bloke called David Miller, sounded like he had an Asian accent. He said I’d just renewed my car insurance and it showed I’d had an accident in the past two years. When I told him that wasn’t true, he asked why the insurance renewal form said otherwise. I explained I’m actually on my husband’s policy since I can’t afford one myself. After that, he just hung up out of nowhere. The call was really quiet too, no background noise like you’d expect from a legit call centre. Definitely seemed a bit sketchy to me.

Had a really annoying bloke on the phone who refused to take me off the call list unless I said why. Fed up with the constant calls, I told him ‘you’re annoying’. Got a call from a woman who asked for me by name. I asked who she was and she said she’d been told I was in an accident. I told her I hadn’t been driving and she must have been given the wrong info. She said someone must have passed on my details by mistake. I asked her to take my number off her list and she promised she would, apologising for the call. Funny thing is, I always seem to get calls like this right after I leave a review for my local shop. Bit of a strange coincidence, huh?
