When exactly?" and he’d be like "you know," I said "no I don’t." Then he’d insist "yes you do." It went back and forth for ages. Like others have said, I signed up with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) ages ago. It only took me a couple of minutes, and now if any pesky calls come through, you can report them straight away. After enough complaints, those telemarketers end up with hefty fines. Really hope phone companies start doing more to stop these nuisances. We don’t need them ringing us all the time.

if you’re signed up with the tps, make sure you also report scam calls to the ico. just putting them on here won’t scare scammers, but the ico actually takes notice and it only takes a couple minutes to report online. your phone provider won’t do much either since they actually make money from sellin caller id and other stuff.
