I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, won’t bother picking up.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs, but it was obviously a scam. Be careful, they’re definitely not legit.

That sounds dodgy, pretending to be Vodafone with such poor English. I ignored their call again today and I'm definately gonna block the number next time.

Twice now I’ve picked up only for them to just drop the call straight away - really impolite behaviour.

Got a call from Craig at Aerial Direct. I looked into some reviews and made sure they're connected with O2 or Vodafone, and turns out they do work with O2. I told him I preferred to stick with Vodafone and he was cool with it, so we ended things on good terms.

Got a call from 0330 058 7383 claiming to be HMRC and saying I’d be arrested if I didn’t pay up. Just a scam trying to scare you!

Had a call from someone claiming to be the tax office, saying I’ve got one last chance to pay up or I’ll be in court next week. The taxman ringing me first thing Monday? Yeah, right, what a joke!

Received a call from Aerial Direct who wanted to chat about my Vodafone plan. When I asked, they honestly admitted they weren't Vodafone and had got my number from some UK marketing database. I told them I wasn't interested since I wasn’t familiar with them and ended the call. It felt genuine enough and didn’t come across as a scam.

I tend to let my phone ring if I’m uncertain about the caller's identity. This particular number doesn't ring any bells for me.

I picked up a call earlier and heard a recorded message claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs threatening legal action against me. When I rang back, some bloke answered asking if I’d paid my taxes - I just ended the call straight away.

This was definitely a scam, not anything to do with Vodafone.

Got a call about my Vodafone deal, asking if I thought it was worth it. I’ve got no link with Vodafone at all, and when I tried to correct him on when my contract ends, he began arguing over what he just said. Another cheeky one, that’s for sure!

So this woman called me claiming she was from Eagle Star and mentioned something about my car accident. I told her I’ve never had an accident and don’t even own a car. She then said she’d remove me from their list. Honestly, quite odd.
