Got a really pushy guy with an Irish accent on the phone, claiming to be from Barclaycard PCI DDS compliance. He was saying our setup wasn’t compliant and kept pushing us to ring him back with the merchant ID. Told us to call 0330 058 3940 and use option 2. Seemed like he was after some account info, pretty dodgy if you ask me.

after looking into this quite a bit, i found out that this group is the barclaycard pci dss compliance service, which businesses pay to help handle their pci dss requirements. even tho they're linked to barclaycard’s main office, they seem to be based in ireland. they arent very open about info, which makes them come across as dodgy when you chat with them. honestly, the whole thing felt odd and the customer care was far from great.
