I saw I missed the call so I rang back, but it was just some automated voice asking me to download a programme or something. Wouldn't advise anyone to bother with it.

Some bloke with an Indian accent kept asking me for a different name, so I just ended up hanging up. Over the past month, loads of people have been ringing to ask about my dad, even though he’s been gone nearly a year now. It’s getting a bit much.

I rang the number back and was told something along the lines of "congratulations, you've just downloaded Askerisk" or whatever it was. Strange message!

Got a call from some woman asking about my deceased dad. Right at the start, I could hear all these weird beeping noises. I didn’t answer and just blocked the number straight away. Definitely felt like a scam.

My missus picked up the phone and some woman claimed to be from trading standards in Maine or something, insisted on speaking to me personally and ignored my wife completely. Since we're based in Aberdeenshire, I’m pretty sure it was a con. She said she’d ring me back in about 30 minutes but never did. Not shocked at all! Definitely a number to block.

Somebody rang my mum looking for me, called me by name but acted really impolite and refused to tell me who they were. When I tried calling back, all I got was a recorded message congratulating me on signing up for some service. Very suspicious!

They had my details mixed up, putting my name the wrong way round, then just ended the call before I could ask anything else.

I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming she was following up on my supposed interest in investments. She even gave me a fake name to sound more believable. I told her straight up I hadn’t expressed any interest and that I wasn’t up for this chat because it was obviously a scam. I ended the call, but she just kept on jabbering away.

I keep getting calls about some online investment. The number's always sorta different though, they just swap out the last couple digits. The person on the line has really bad English and it’s annoying as hell. I’ve blocked the number now but they somehow still find a way to ring me from a similar one. They should really just stop this nonsense.
