Vandaag kreeg ik ook zo'n vreemd telefoontje van een buitenlands nummer, maar ik heb niet opgenomen. Eerder deze week belde iemand twee keer vanaf 020-3698696, en tijdens het gesprek zei ik mijn voornaam. Daarna kwam er een oproep van 020-3698692, die ik niet opnam. De volgende dag nam ik een telefoontje aan van 020-3698691, en de persoon sprak Engels en gebruikte mijn naam alsof hij me persoonlijk kende. Het leek duidelijk dat hij iets wou verkopen. Ik zei in het Engels dat ik geen interesse had en hing twee keer op. Diezelfde dag belden ze nog twee keer hetzelfde nummer, maar toen nam ik niet op. Daarna, met tussenpozen van een dag en daarna zeven dagen, kreeg ik kort twee keer een oproep van 030-3100489. Ik nam op, zei niks, hoorde niks, en hing snel op. En vandaag dan dat buitenlandse nummer met +44... Nummer is volgens mij telkens van dezelfde groep oplichters. Mijn advies: niet opnemen, gewoon laten overgaan.

Like a few others have mentioned, the caller asked for me by name and kept saying I’d registered for some sort of online trading scheme. When I told her I hadn’t, she got a bit pushy and started arguing, claiming they could help me make money. Once she brought up money, I figured they’d soon want my bank info. I asked to be removed from their list, but she just ignored that and kept on with her spiel. I ended the call. They’d already rung my mum earlier today, so this was their second attempt. This all happened on our landline at home.

A bloke called me with a weird accent and he somehow knew my first name. He tried to pitch some kind of finance thing, but then just stopped talking out of nowhere. I just ended the call.

Somebody with a foreign accent called and said my full name, but as soon as my wife picked up, they refused to say who they were or what they wanted. Then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent, talking about some financial offer. I asked how they even found my home number and they claimed I had replied to an ad or something. Total rubbish if you ask me.
