Received a one-off passcode for an Airbnb booking, along with a message stating to ring this number if I'm not the one making the reservation. Clearly a phishing scam, if you ask me.

Received a message from 132032 today...

It said: "Your One Time Passcode is 572073 for a purchase of £802.30 on AIRBNB - Ref: CDB11F." If this wasn’t you, please ring us at 03300533937.

I haven't called that number yet, so I'm not sure who it belongs to. I’ve also been getting some sketchy phone calls purported to be from Barclaycard lately, so I suspect it’s probably just another batch of scammers up to their old tricks.

I recently received a text message containing a one-time passcode for a transaction, claiming to be from Santander. Curious, I decided to ring the number that sent it. Sure enough, the call went through to Santander, but after that, things went quiet. The catch is, I don't even hold a Santander account!
