Been getting non stop calls from this company but they keep switching the numbers they call from. Whenever I pick up, it’s a robot asking me some scripted questions. Really annoying!

Got a bogus text claiming to be from Santander as well. So I rang Santander using the official phone number I had, and they told me straight up it was a scam.

Got a call supposedly from SANTANDER with a one-time code for some payment at John Lewis. It sounded really legit and well put together. The weird part is, since the number’s owner is known, why aren’t they going after these scammers? Seems like they should be doing something about it.

Just like a lot of folks, I received a message claiming to be from Santander with a one-time code >>>> SANTANDER: Your code is 03604 for a £345.00 transaction at John Lewis. If you didn’t make this purchase, ring 03300533935 >>> Since I’m not a Santander customer, I ignored it and blocked the number straight away!!!

Got a message saying it was from Santander about some authorisation code for John Lewis. They said to ring 03300533953 if it wasn’t me. The thing is, I don’t even have an account with Santander. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Below is info on how to report scam texts, calls, emails, and other dodgy fraud attempts through the system set up by the police (NFIB). I found out about this after raising concerns with my MP about the endless scam calls I was receiving. It seems scammers don’t want this info getting out there. If you don’t report these incidents, don’t expect them to just stop. While contacting 7726, your mobile network, Ofcom, or even the companies scammers pretend to be can help a bit, these reports don’t always make their way to the police’s fraud unit for a proper criminal probe.

I got a call from what said it was Santander but it was a total scam. They sent me a number to call back which I wouldn’t recommend at all. Best thing to do is just block the numbers and don’t bother replying to them. Stay clear!

Sounds like that caller was trying to nudge me into giving a one-time code for some John Lewis deal. I reckon it’s just one of those phishing scams - they want your number to pester you with loads of rubbish later if you ring them back. Avoid it!
